Huangpu Village in Guangzhou
I once read some travel-lovers' articles about introduction about Huangpu Village China tour deals.
The articles spoke highly of this place so I decide to explore this
villages in my spare time. It is free to enter the village. Here you can
appreciate many traditional old houses and featured ancestral halls in
local places. Yuxu Temple seems a Taoist temple and you can some pottery
sculptures with images of the Taoist figures. It is said that there are
many ports here but I only find a Huangpu Old Port site. A plaque on
the bank says that Huangpu Village has played an important role in the
oversea trade. In Qing Dynasty of Qianlong Era, it was the only foreign
trade port in Guangdong. I really know little about ancestral halls. I
always think they are mysterious. Ancestral halls are the belief and
dream for a family clan. Hu Family Ancestral Hall, built in Qing
Dynasty, is famous and featured one in the village.
Three Famous Old Towns in Changzhi, Shanxi
Because of job task, I had three days in Changzhi County of Shanxi Province luxury China travel and I used three days to roam around three famous old towns in Changzhi.
Yincheng
Town is regarded as the iron museum in China. It is easy to find the
exquisite iron sculptures. Roaming around the flagstone streets and
appreciating the Ming-Qing style residences, we seem to get back to Ming
and Qing Dynasties. Although it is less famous than Pingyao, Lijiang
and Fenghuang ancient towns, Yincheng Town is more simple and less
commercialized.
The buildings of Xihuo Town is older that that of
Yincheng. Xihuo features many temples. God City Temple is very famous
and popular in Xihua Town. No matter what happens like giving birth of
baby, falling ill, taking an exam, people here are used to worship in
God City Temple.
Nestled in the hinderland of Taihang Mountain,
Doukou Folk Culture Village is an ancient but exquisite village.
According to Doukou Records, the villages was first built in the
Northern and Southern Dynasties (420-589). But now, here still keeps
Ming and Qing style residences. Here you can witness more than 20
ancient sites such as temples, passes, shrines.
