Opera and Culture
The north of Anhui province is the old watercourse of of the Yellow River and the south is the Huai River Basin affordable China tours. It is the intersection of two Chinese cultures. The Wuhu, Anqing and Hefei areas are representatives of cuisine along the Yangtze River Yangtze River tour. The cuisine along the Yangtze River is famous for cooking fresh fish and poultry. The representative dishes are “Yangtze River Shad” and “Wuwei Smoked Duck.” The representative dishes can be found in Bengbu, Su County and Fuyang, along the Huai River. The Cuisine along the Huai River is salty and spicy and the sauce is thick, colorful and full of flavor. It is typical to use coriander for flavouring or decorating the dish. The famous dishes are “Red-Cooked Chicken, Fuliji Style” and “Stewed Longsnout Catfish with Milky Soup”. The most popular local dish in Hefei is “Stewed Salty Duck with Soy Beans”. Cuozhen Town in Feidong County of Anhui is famous for “Spicy Dried Beef Jerk with Five Spices Flavor”. This beef jerk is strongly spicy with a bit sweet flavour.
